Nick Cravat

American actor

Nicholas Cuccia (January 11, 1912 – January 29, 1994), known as Nick Cravat, was an American actor and stuntman. He co-starred with Burt Lancaster in nine movies.[1] He played a mute character in movies such as Davy Crockett and King of the Wild Frontier. He did not have speaking roles because he could not hide his thick Brooklyn accent.[1]

Cravat was born in New York City.[2] On January 29, 1994 he died of lung cancer in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California.[3]
