Nitter

alternative front end for Twitter

Nitter is a discontinued alternative front-end for X, with better privacy and performance.[2][3] The UI is based off the classic Twitter desktop layout.[4][5] The front end used many "guest accounts" created using proxy servers to get tweets.[6] When the guest account feature was removed by X in January 2024, the project was discontinued, although users could create their own instances using their own X accounts with the risk of blocking.[7]
