Nurmijärvi
municipality in the region of Uusimaa in Finland
Nurmijärvi is a town in Finland. It is in the province of Southern Finland and is part of the Uusimaa. Neighbouring municipalities are Vantaa, Espoo, Vihti, Hyvinkää and Tuusula. Klaukkala is the largest village of Nurmijärvi.
Nurmijärvi was founded in 1605. Aleksis Kivi, a Finnish writer, was born in Nurmijärvi.[1]
