French astronomical observatory

Observatoire de Haute-Provence (Observatory of Haute-Provence in French) is the main astronomical observatory in the southeast of France. It is about 100 kilometres (62 miles) from Marseilles and 90 kilometres (56 miles) east of Avignon. The four main telescopes have diameters between 0.8 and 1.93 metres (2 feet 7 inches and 6 feet 4 inches). They discover exoplanets, asteroids, etc.
