The October 2017 Northern California wildfires were a series of fires in California. The fires started on October 8 and 9 across Sonoma, Mendocino, Napa, Solano, Lake and Butte counties in the state.

There were seventeen separate wildfires burning across California.[1]

Over 5,700 houses and businesses were severely damaged or destroyed in the fires.

The Tubbs fire was the most expensive of the fires. It caused over $1 billion USD in damage.[2]

Other fires included the Atlas fire and Nuns fire.
