Olivia Santana
Brazilian politician
Maria Olivia Santana (born 25 March 1967) is a Brazilian activist. She is the founder of the Black Union For Equality (UNEGRO).
She was born in Salvador, Bahia.[1] At the age of 14, she started to work as a cleaner in a private school. She studied at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA).[2]
She was a city councilor in Salvador, Bahia. In 2012, she was a candidate for vice mayor of Salvador.[3][4] She supported extending childcare.[5]
Since 2019, she has been a member of the Bahia Legislative Assembly for the Communist Party of Brazil.[1]
