Olympia Dukakis (born June 20, 1931)[1] is an American actress. She acts in movies and television and on stage. In 1987, she received an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award and a BAFTA Award for her performance in the movie Moonstruck. She also received an Emmy Award nomination for her performance as Anna Madrigal in the miniseries Tales of the City.[2]

Dukakis is the daughter of Greek immigrants. She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on June 20, 1931.[3] She is a cousin of 1988 presidential candidate Michael Dukakis.[4] From 1962 until his death in 2018, she was married to actor Louis Zorich.
