Omkar Palav

Indian Guinness World Records record-holder

Omkar Palav (born September 7, 1986) is an Indian Guinness World Record holder residing in Australia. Known as the "Typing Man of Australia,"[1][2] he set the record for typing the alphabet with his nose in 20.51 seconds.[3][4][5]

Early Life and Education

Omkar was born and raised in Lalbaug, Mumbai, India. He graduated with Distinction in Engineering in Information Technology from Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan's College of Engineering, affiliated with the University of Mumbai.

Career

Omkar has over 15 years of experience as an IT professional and has worked for multi-national companies including Infosys Limited, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Tata Consultancy Services, and AMP Limited.

Guinness World Record

On July 20, 2024, Omkar achieved a Guinness World Record by typing the alphabet with his nose in 20.51 seconds.[6][7] Omkar dedicates his achievement to his daughter Anjni Palav, parents Vijay Palav and Varsha Palav, and brother Gajanan Palav. He also dedicates the achievement to all Indians and Australians around the world.
