Pat Hooper
Irish distance runner
Patrick Hooper (12 May 1952 – 9 October 2020) was an Irish Olympian and long-distance runner. He was born in Dublin. He represented Ireland in the marathon at European and Olympic level.[1] His marathon personal best time was 2:17:46.[2] He participated in the 1980 Summer Olympics coming in 40th place.
He was the older brother of three-time Olympian and marathoner Dick Hooper.
Hooper died on 9 October 2020 in Dublin, aged 68.[3]
