Patria (novel)
2016 Spanish novel written by Fernando Aramburu
Patria is a Spanish dramatic novel written in 2016 by Fernando Aramburu.[1]
The novel is set in a small rural village from Gipuzkoa, Basque Country where the ETA established their totalitarian regime. This situation affects two families that were friends in the past, but not in the present.
Summary
changeOn the day that ETA announces that it will abandon the armed struggle, Bittori visits the cemetery to tell the grave of her husband, El Txato, assassinated by the terrorists, that she has decided to return to the house where they lived.[2]
