Paul Landowski
French sculptor (1875-1961)
Paul Maximilien Landowski (1 June 1875 – 31 March 1961) was a French sculptor. Landowski was born in the 9th arrondissement of Paris and died in Boulogne-Billancourt.
He is famous for creating the Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He created it in 1931. He worked with Heitor da Silva Costa, who was an engineer, and Gheorghe Leonida, an architect.
