Pedro González (baseball)

Pedro González Olivares (December 12, 1937 – January 10, 2021), nicknamed "Speedy Gonzalez",[1] was a Dominican professional baseball second baseman. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees from 1963 to 1965) and Cleveland Indians from 1965 to 1967. He was one of the first 15 Dominicans to play big league baseball.[2] He was born in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.

González died on January 10, 2021 in San Pedro de Macoris, aged 83.[3]
