Phil Bennett

Welsh rugby union player (1948–2022)

Philip Bennett OBE (24 October 1948 – 12 June 2022) was a Welsh rugby union player. He played as a fly-half for Llanelli RFC and the Wales national team. He began his career in 1966. He made his Wales debut in 1969.

Bennett was honored into the World Rugby Hall of Fame in 2015.[1][2]

Bennett died on 12 June 2022 in Felinfoel, Wales at the age of 73.[3]
