Presidential transition of Jimmy Carter
The presidential transition of Jimmy Carter started after Democratic presidential candidate and also former Governor of Georgia Jimmy Carter won the 1976 United States presidential election, defeated the incumbent Republican President Gerald Ford on November 2, 1976, became president-elect, alongside with Vice President-elect Walter Mondale when he was in Carter's campaign too.[1]

The transition began on November 3, 1976, one day after the presidential election, and ended on January 20, 1977, when he inaugurated president.[2]
