Pukekohe

town in Auckland Region, New Zealand

Pukekohe is a city in the Auckland region. It is sandwiched in between the Manukau Harbour and the Waikato River. It was the home of Franklin District Council until 2010 when it joined up with the supercity of Auckland and prior to that it was Pukekohe Borough Council. It has 9 primary schools and one high school located in the town. It is situated on the edge of State Highway 22. It has two towns located nearby Waiuku and Tuakau.
