QSO J0529-4351 is a quasar.

It is the most luminous (or brightest) thing in space (as of 2024's first quarter).[1][2][3] However, information published in 2022's second quarter, has been used in research, to try to find out if the star is in the Milky Way; According to [ computer software or] automated analysis, there is a [c. 99% or] 99.98% chance that the star is in the Milky Way.[4]
