Quentin Pongia

New Zealand rugby league footballer and coach

Quentin Lee Pongia (9 July 1970 – 18 May 2019) was a New Zealand rugby league player. He played as a prop. He played for the Canberra Raiders, Auckland Warriors, Sydney Roosters, St George Illawarra Dragons and Wigan Warriors. He also played for the New Zealand national team between 1992 and 2000. He was from the West Coast, South Island.

Pongia died of bowel cancer on 18 May 2019 in Greymouth, West Coast.[1] He was 48.[2][3]
