state-owned Italian broadcasting company

RAI – Radiotelevisione italiana[1] (Italian pronunciation: [ˈrai ˌradjoteleviˈzjoːne itaˈljaːna]); mainly known as Rai since 2000 and it was known until 1954 as Radio Audizioni Italiane,[2] is the national public broadcasting company of Italy.

It is owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. It is one of the biggest broadcasters in Italy.[3]
