Ray Batten
English rugby league footballer and coach (1945–2020)
Raymond "Ray" Batten (23 September 1945 – 23 September 2020) was an English professional rugby league footballer. He was born in York, Yorkshire. He played in the 1960s and 1970s, and coached in the 1980s.
He played at representative level for Great Britain and England, and at club level for Heworth ARLFC and Leeds.[1] He coached at club level for Wakefield Trinity.
Batten died on his 75th birthday on 23 September 2020.[2]
