Revolt of Zayd ibn Ali
Hasan ibn Zayd’ūl-Alavî
On the 1st of Safar 122, Zayed ibn Ali started a unsuccessful rebellion against the Umayyad Caliphate, that had been taken from the Rashidun Caliphate after the death of his great grand dad Ali.[1] He ended up being killed on the 3rd of Safar with most of his companions also being killed and it led to the creation of Zaydism.[1]
