Miguel Ángel López Díaz (January 8, 1955 – December 20, 2024) was a Mexican professional wrestler and trainer. He was better known by his ring name, Rey Misterio ("Mystery King"). He was also known as Rey Misterio Sr. so that his name does not sound the same as his nephew.[1] Misterio was born in Tijuana, Mexico. His son, El Hijo de Rey Misterio, is also a wrestler. He appeared in the movie El Mascarado Massacre.
