Richmond (Yorks) (UK Parliament constituency)

Parliamentary constituency in the United Kingdom, 1868-2024

Richmond (Yorks) is a constituency of the UK Parliament [note 1] in North Yorkshire. The last MP for Richmond (Yorks) was Rishi Sunak. Sunak is the current leader of the Conservative Party, and used to be the Prime Minister from 2022 to 2024.[note 2] Sunak replaced William Hague, who also served as Conservative Party leader. Hague was leader between 1997 and 2001. He was also Leader of the Opposition when Tony Blair was Prime Minister. Before Hague, Leon Brittan represented the constituency.
