Rickey Dixon

American football player (1966-2020)

Rickey Dixon (December 26, 1966 – August 1, 2020) was an American cornerback and special teams player. He played for the Oklahoma Sooners and later the National Football League’s Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Raiders.

Dixon was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2019.[1]

Dixon was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in 2014. [2] He died from the disease on August 1, 2020 in DeSoto, Texas at the age of 53.[3]
