Righteous Among the Nations

Israeli honorific for non-Jews who saved Jews during the Holocaust

Righteous Among the Nations is an award given by Israel to people who risked their own lives to help Jewish people survive the Holocaust. It has been given to Oskar Schindler, Miep Gies, Irena Sendler, and Corrie ten Boom and many others for saving lives during the Holocaust. The Righteous Among the Nations Memorial Path is located in the Yad Vashem museum in Jerusalem.
