Riyad Mahrez

Algerian footballer (born 1991)

Riyad Karim Mahrez (Arabic: رياض كريم محرز, romanized: Riyāḍ Karīm Maḥraz; born 21 February 1991) is an Algerian professional football player who captains the Algerian national football team. He also plays as a right-winger for the Saudi Pro League team Al-Ahli.[4]

Mahrez made his international debut for Algeria in 2014 and represented them at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021. His team won the 2019 African Cup of Nations. It was only the second time that Algeria has won the African Cup of Nations ever.[5]
