Robert Shavlakadze
Soviet high jumper
Robert Shavlakadze (Georgian: რობერტ შავლაყაძე, Russian: Роберт Михайлович Шавлакадзе; 1 April 1933 – 4 March 2020) was a Georgian high jumper. He was born in Tbilisi. He competed for the Soviet Union at the 1960 and 1964 Summer Olympics. In 1960, he finished in first place, and finished fifth in 1964.[1] He also won a bronze medal at the 1962 European Championships.
Shavlakadze died on 4 March 2020 at the age of 86.
