Robert Stack

American actor (1919-2003)

Charles Langford Modini Stack (or Robert Stack; 13 January 1919 – 14 May 2003) was an American television and movie actor. He also hosted television programs. He played crime fighter Eliot Ness in the TV series The Untouchables and in the series The Name of the Game. He hosted Unsolved Mysteries (1987-2002).[1]

Stack was born in Los Angeles. He died of heart failure at age 84 at his home in Bel-Air, California. He was married to actress Rosemarie Bowe from 1956 until his death. They're great-nephew is SNL comedian Taran Killam.
