Roger Squires (born 22 February 1932) is a British crossword maker. He lives in Shropshire with his wife Anna. He has made more crosswords than anyone else in the world.[1] He makes the Monday crossword for The Telegraph. On 22 February 2012, it was Squires' 80th birthday. The Guardian and Financial Times held a party for him at The Guardian's offices in London. The Telegraph held a lunch party for him in Birmingham. John Galbraith Graham wrote him a sonnet.
Personal life
