Romancing the Stone is a 1984 American Mexican romantic adventure comedy movie directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, Danny DeVito, Holland Taylor, Alfonso Arau, Zack Norman, Manuel Ojeda. It was distributed by 20th Century Fox and was nominated for an Academy Award in 1985. It was followed up by The Jewel of the Nile in 1985.
