Romani people in Finland
Romani Gypsies in Finland belong to the eastern Kale group and settled in Finland at the end of the sixteenth century. Numbering about 11,000-12,000 the Finnish gypsies live mostly in urban areas. Although some of Finland’s gypsies still speak their Kale dialect of the Romani Gypsy language, most Finnish Gypsies speak Finnish.[2][3]
