Sławoj Leszek Głódź
Sławoj Leszek Głódź (born 13 August 1945)[1] is a Polish Roman Catholic archbishop. He was the Archbishop of Gdańsk from 2008 to 2020.

Early life and education
changeSławoj Leszek Głódź was born in Bobrówka, Poland. He studied theology and was ordained as a priest on 14 June 1970 by Bishop Henryk Gulbinowicz.[1]
Ecclesiastical career
changeGłódź was consecrated as a bishop on 23 February 1991 by Cardinal Józef Glemp. He served as the bishop of the Polish Army from 1991 to 2004. In 2004, he was appointed as the Bishop of Warsaw-Praga, and in 2008, he became the Archbishop of Gdańsk.[1][2]
Controversies
changeDuring his service, Głódź was involved in several controversies. He was accused of covering up cases of child sexual abuse within the church and of abusing his power. In March 2021, the Vatican imposed disciplinary measures on Głódź, including a ban on participating in public religious ceremonies and residing in his archdiocese.[3][4][5]
