Samantha Bricio

Samantha Bricio (born November 22, 1994) is a Mexican volleyball player. She is an outside hitter. She is the youngest player to be on Mexico’s national team. She also won a gold medal at the Mexican National Games in the 13-to-14-year-old category.

Early life

She is from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Her parents are Estella and Guillermo Bricio. Her mother is a retired physical education teacher. She still plays competitive volleyball with other people her age. Her father is a retired banker. Her father played on the Mexican National Basketball team. Her brothers are Nijinsky and Irving.

Career

Bricio went to college at University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. Volleyball Magazine awarded her NCAA Freshman of the Year. She then won the Honda Sports Award as the USA’s best collegiate female volleyball player in 2016.

After she graduated in 2016, Bricio went to play for the Italian team called Imoco Volley Conegliano. They won medals at the Italian Cup, Supercup, and the Italian League.

Then she went to play for Fenerbahce in Turkey. They won a silver medal at the Turkish Cup and bronze in the Champions League. She then returned to Italy to play for Savino Del Bene Scandicci. Then she went to Russia to play with Dinamo Kazan.

She currently plays for WVC Dynamo Kazan. She has the reputation of being the best server in the entire world. She won Best Server and Best Scorer at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games.
