Sante Geronimo Caserio (September 8, 1873 - August 16, 1894) was an Italian anarchist who assassinated the president of the French Third Republic, Marie François Sadi Carnot, by stabbing.
Death
changeCaserio was executed by guillotine in Lyon at 5 am on August 16, 1894. In front of the guillotine, he shouted "Coraggio, compagni — evviva l' anarchia!" ("Courage, comrades — Long live anarchy!")
