Manilkara zapota is a fruit tree in the Sapotaceae family. It is commonly known as the Sapodilla or Sapota. It is from southern Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.[1] It is often grown for its fruit, which has a very malty and sweet flavor, and tastes like a pear.[2]
