Sega AM Research & Development No. 2^[a], often abbreviated as Sega AM R&D No. 2 or Sega AM2 and known as SEGA-AM2 Co., Ltd.^[b], is a video game development division of the Japanese company Sega. It was founded by Yu Suzuki in 1985.^[1] Sega AM2 is best known for the Hang On, Out Run, Virtua Fighter, Daytona USA and Shenmue series.
