Sergio Onofre Jarpa

Sergio Onofre Jarpa Reyes (8 March 1921 – 19 April 2020) was a Chilean politician.[1] He was born in Rengo.

Jarpa served as a member of the cabinet during the government of Augusto Pinochet. He served as Minister of the Interior from 1983 through 1985. Before becoming minister, Jarpa was a Member of the Senate from May 1973 through September 1973 and again from 1990 through 1994.
Jarpa died on 19 April 2020 at a nursing home in Las Condes, Chile of COVID-19, aged 99.[2]
