Shamsur Rahman Faruqi
Indian Urdu language poet, author, critic and theorist.
Shamsur Rahman Faruqi (30 September 1935 – 25 December 2020) was an Indian poet and an Urdu critic and theorist. He used criticism found in Western literature and added them to Urdu literature. [1] He was also editor of his literary magazine Shabkhoon and part-time professor at the South Asia Regional Studies Center at the University of Pennsylvania.
