Sheldon Maschler
Sheldon Maschler (born 1944) also known as Shelly Maschler is a former Online Broker and Businessperson based in Boca Raton. He was born in Poland. Maschler is well known for his work in the Electronic Trading Industry. He was also chief of Datek Securities, first online stock trading platform.[1][2]
Career
changeMaschler along with Jeffrey Citron started working at Datek Securities in 1988 which was later acquired by Ameritrade in 2002. He worked at Island ECN and I-Clearing after the Datek acquisition.[3][4]
Sheldon is also known for his charitable activities. His most notable charity is 1 million which he granted to the Jewish Federation in 2003, It was the biggest award in their history. He also donated 105,000 dollars to purchase a Magen David Adom (MDA) ambulance for Israel.[5] Recently, Maschler and his family made a commitment to donate 500,000 dollars to Yashal Lachayal and The Helping Israel Fund. Maschler started his own foundation named ‘The Maschler Family Foundation’ and manages with his sons.[6]
