Sheng Thao

American politician (born 1985)

Sheng Thao (born July 18, 1985[1]) is an American politician. She is the 51st and current[needs update] Mayor of Oakland, California since 2023.[2] She is the first Hmong-American mayor of a major city in the United States.[3]

On November 5, 2024, there was an election to remove her from office. The people of Oakland voted to remove her as mayor.[4]
