Shinshūkyō
new religious movement founded in Japan since mid-19th century
Shinshūkyō refers to new religious movements in Japan. Japanese theologians consier all religions founded since the middle of the 19th century as "new religions". They are influenced by much older traditional religions such as Shinto, Buddhism, and Hinduism.
