Ando was born in Setagaya, Tokyo on August 10, 1990. He joined J1 League club Kawasaki Frontale in 2009. Although he debuted in 2011, he could not play many matches. In 2013, he moved to Shonan Bellmare on loan and played 10 matches. In 2014, he returned to Kawasaki.

In July 2012, Ando was selected the Japan U-23 national team for 2012 Summer Olympics. Although he did not play in the match, as he was the team's reserve goalkeeper behind Shuichi Gonda, Japan won the 4th place.
