Sridhar Vembu
Sridhar Vembu (born 1968) is an Indian billionaire businessman. He created the Zoho Corporation.[2] He has a net worth of $3.75 billion which makes him the 55th richest person in India. He was also awarded the Padma Shri in 2021.[3][4]

Early life
changeVembu was born in 1968 in a middle class family, in a village in Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu.[5][6][source?] He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 1989. He earned MS and PhD degrees from Princeton University in New Jersey.[5]
Career
changeVembu started his career working for Qualcomm as a wireless engineer in San Diego, California, before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area.[5]
In 1996, Vembu created software development company for network equipment providers called AdventNet with two of his brothers.[5][7] The company was renamed Zoho Corporation in 2009, focusing on providing support to Customer relationship management services.[2][5][8]
Honours
changeVembu was awarded the 2019 Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year Award" in India.[9] He was also the recipient of the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honor, in 2021.[10] He has also been selected as CNN-News18 Indian of the Year 2022.[11] He was also appointed to the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) of India in 2021.[12][13]
