Stanley Johnson (writer)

British politician and writer (1940-)

Stanley Patrick Johnson (born 18 August 1940) is an English-French author. He is also a former Conservative Party politician.

He served as the Member of the European Parliament for White and East Hampshire from 1979 to 1984. He was also a former World Bank employee and European Commission. He wrote several books on environmental and population issues.

His six children include former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Boris Johnson, former Member of Parliament and minister Joe Johnson and journalist Rachel Johnson.
