Stephen Reinhardt
American judge (1931–2018)
Stephen Roy Reinhardt (March 27, 1931 – March 29, 2018)[1] was an American circuit judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit serving from 1980 until his death in 2018. He was the last federal appeals court judge in active service to have been appointed by President Jimmy Carter.[2] He was a Democrat. Reinhardt was born in New York City.
Reinhardt died in Los Angeles, California on March 29, 2018 from a heart attack at the age of 87.[3]
