Stephen Alan "Steve" Lillywhite, CBE (born 15 March 1955) is an English record producer. He is a five-time Grammy Award winner.[1] He was born in Egham, Surrey. He is best known for his work with U2. He produced their first three albums, Boy, October and War. He has worked with many other artists including The Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, Bruce Foxton (of The Jam), Big Country, Peter Gabriel, Talking Heads, Morrissey, Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Killers, The Pogues, David Byrne, XTC, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Simple Minds, The Psychedelic Furs, Beady Eye, Phish, Counting Crows and Joan Armatrading.

Lillywhite was married to singer Kirsty MacColl from 1984 to 1994. They had two sons, Jamie and Louis. He has been married to Patricia Louise Galluzzi since 29 May 2004.

Lillywhite was awarded the Commander of the Order of The British Empire (CBE) in 2012 for his contributions to music.
