T-62

Soviet main battle tank

The T-62 is a Soviet tank that entered service in 1961. It was used by several countries during the Cold War and in subsequent conflicts. The T-62 was equipped with a 115 mm smoothbore gun, plus a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, and had improved armor compared to its predecessor, the T-55. It also featured an improved fire control system and sloped frontal armor for greater protection. Additionally, the T-62 had a top speed of around 50 km/h and an operational range of approximately 450 km. It weighed about 40 tons. Crew: Composed of four members (commander, gunner, loader and driver).
