Takumu Kawamura ( born August 28, 1999 in Hiroshima) is a Japanese football player. He plays as Midfielder for the Austrian Football Bundesliga club FC Red Bull Salzburg.

Carreer

Takumu Kawamura started playing football in the youth team of Hara SC and Sanfrecce Hiroshima. He also signed his first professional contract here in 2018. The club from Hiroshima played in the highest Japanese league, the J1 League. At the beginning of the 2019 season he was loaned to second division club Ehime FC in Matsuyama. Here he played 77 times in the second division in two years. After the loan, he returned to Sanfrecce in February 2022. On October 22, 2022, he played in the final of the Japanese League Cup with Hiroshima. Here they defeated Cerezo Osaka 2-1.

After 62 appearances in the J1 League, Kawamura moved to the Austrian Bundesliga club FC Red Bull Salzburg in June 2024. He received a contract that runs until 2028. [2]

International

Kawamura made his debut for the Japan national team on 1 January 2024 in a friendly against Thailand. He scored a goal in a 5–0 victory.[3]
