average intelligence ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Intelligence_of_Dogs they are on 20th place... That is called excellent working dogs, no? --Hafspajen (talk) 00:15, 23 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Agree. I think average intelligence means as an overall dog. I think I have fixed this: See how it reads now. The IQ tests they took show they are quite keen at hunting skills, but not so good in other skills. So I clarifiied that their high intelligence is in hunting. Makes sense, since that is what they are bred for. I put in the 20th place ranking on the list you name. According to that article on The Intelligence of Dogs, 20th place is indeed excellent in hunting skills. So article now says that. Thanks. Fylbecatulous talk 11:10, 23 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Well done, Fylbecatulous! You are just as great with the dog articles as with the cats. Now it is a quite nice artice, after all the work you put into it. That it has excelent hunting skills was actually a surprize... I thought thay are like mainly intelligent - in general. But you probably checked out that properly in the book... I was only looking fast at the list. Well, poor things - they are mostly keept like pets nowadays. --Hafspajen (talk) 12:12, 23 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thank you and it is just as much your article as mine. Actually, my mother had a long haired cocker spaniel. Not very smart at all. But, as you say, it just slept in a house and got fat. I am sure the poor pet was bored. Fylbecatulous talk 12:36, 23 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
