weird example
changeThis bit is a contradiction? It needs to be explained better, or maybe just removed?
- "(Anti-Zionism) is often intertwined with antisemitism, as shown by the involuntary exodus of 900,000+ Jews from the Arab World since Israel's reestablishment in 1948…" citing: "The expulsion of Jews from Arab countries and Iran – an untold history". World Jewish Congress. February 2, 2021. Retrieved October 23, 2024.
As far as I know, they mostly went to Israel? Expelling nearly a million Jews is antisemitic, but sending more Jews to Israel is the opposite of "anti-Zionism"? It was a reaction to the creation of the State of Israel, but it's more of a positive feedback loop than "anti-zionism".
So, for that bit of history to make sense on this page there's a step missing, e.g. the violence led to Zionism increasing in populations that were not previously interested in moving to Israel? or something about anti-Zionist actions being counterproductive?

- Yes, you seem to be right, but I am not quite of a pro in that part of the history, so find it difficult judging how it may be revised. I only discovered this article yesterday. Steven1991 (talk) 19:32, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Steven1991 The main Wikipedia has a whole page on it en:Jewish exodus from the Muslim world. It probably needs to be its own page here: Jewish exodus from the Muslim world. I expect the relationship between it and anti-Zionism is too complicated to simplify? But I only really know the rough order of events, not really much depth about why they happened. I expect there are two (or more) competing versions of the story. Baikal (talk) 15:00, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- If I'm understanding it correctly, the source that was used seems to be arguing that Arab states and the Arab League were persecuting Jews, and used Zionism as an excuse/cover. I feel that it doesn't explore the motivations for post-1948 explusions in much detail, but I'm sure sources could be found that more clearly make the connection with anti-Zionism.
