I don't know if we need to mention this, but in statistics and various field related to electronics, an "artifact" is an irregularity or a glitch or mistake.Kdammers (talk) 20:20, 20 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

I added a hatnote to disambiguation page; English Wikipedia has a good article on Artifact (error) but ours is listed on the dab page at least. I am familiar with artifacts on medical imaging. Thanks. Fylbecatulous talk 01:06, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
